Join us for the KC Girlfriends Book Club 3rd Annual Literary Retreat as we celebrate literacy by coming together
with other avid readers, book club and authors to network, discuss, relate and relax.  We'll have wonderful food
and two great speakers to keep us entertained, enlightened and inspired!

Kendra Norman Bellamy will sit down and discuss her new book, Fifteen Years, between 10-11 with book clubs
and avid readers that has read her book and is ready to discuss! If you haven't read the book and would rather not
hear how the story ends, you can join us at the beginning of the program 11 AM. We will be raffling off gifts
throughout the literary retreat. Every participant will receive a gorgeous Bookmark It! Handcrafted Bookmark.

Vendor tables will be available for an additional $10.  Space is limited and on a first come first serve basis, so you'll
want to act fast!

Kendra Norman-Bellamy is the founder of KNB Publications
LLC and is the award-winning, national bestselling author of more
than one dozen faith-based titles.  

Beginning her literary career in 2002 as a self-published writer,
Kendra’s works are currently made available through the
respected publishers of Kimani Press, Moody Publishers, and
Urban Books. She and her titles have been featured in Essence,
Upscale, EKG Literary, and HOPE for Women magazines, to name
a few. She is a member of the national organization, American
Christian Fiction Writers.

Kendra is the founder of two online writer’s groups: The Writer’s
Hut and The Writers Cocoon Focus Group which are cyberspace
havens for established writers and aspiring writers respectively.
In addition, she is the visionary of Cruisin’ For Christ, a
groundbreaking at-sea ministry (cruise), that celebrates Christian
artists and artistries. Most recently, Kendra introduced the I Shall
Not Die motivational ministry whose primary focus is to empower
people with God-inspired faith, hope, and determination.

A native of West Palm Beach, Florida, Kendra spent most of her
formative years in South Georgia where she attended Valdosta
State University and graduated with honors from Valdosta
Technical College. She currently resides in Stone Mountain,
Georgia with her family and is an active member of the Iota Phi
Lambda Sorority, Inc.
Archuleta Chisolm is a sought-after poet and speaker and also the
author of Heaven Knows Your Existence. She inspires readers and
audiences with her down-to-earth style to become more of
themselves and live with purpose. Her on-line newsletter is read by
thousands each month, and she is currently working on her next two
poetry book projects. Archuleta has spoken at various church events,
community health fairs, women’s groups, book clubs, facilitated
career and scholarship workshops for students, and presented spoken
word for local events.  She has been featured in The Sun Times, The
National Library of Poetry, and the on-line magazine, The Nubian
Chronicles. Archuleta formed Artfully Speaking 2006, which provides
various programs and self-improvement opportunities, as well as
coaching for aspiring authors.

A native of Kansas City, the former radio show host served eight years
in the United States Army Reserve. Archuleta holds a Bachelor of
Science degree in Accounting from DeVry University, and an MBA
degree from Baker University.



Rachelle Law is the founder of How Come, How Long, a Domestic
Violence Foundation established for the purpose of providing spiritual
and educational information, inspiration and awareness of domestic
violence abuse by means of seminars and workshops. Rachelle has
decided to take her passion for stopping domestic violence and has
decided to take one more step by writing a memoir about her
experiences. Her book will be released in 2010.
