SLOW BURN, the new novel by Ebony Farashuu, allows you to peek into the hearts and minds of
ordinary people living with extraordinary circumstances. You will laugh, cry, and rejoice with Serafina,
Khalil, Ayzha, and Jeremy as they take your mind on a tantalizing journey filled with all the pleasure
you can stand, enough pain and suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat, and amazing poetic
imagery that will place you between the pages as you watch the scenes unfold within your mind...
Synopsis:
Serafina has the blues. Her soul mate lies on his deathbed while she struggles to maintain hope and
remain true. Her best friend, Ayzha, is trapped in a marriage where intimacy is non-existent and the
desire to cheat is overwhelming. Will she have the strength to stay faithful? Jeremy is a handsome
pediatrician who can talk any woman into his bed. When misfortune touches an ex’s life, he
contemplates using her circumstances to win her back. Khalil has found the woman of his dreams but
when an accident threatens his future…he must fight to remain alive and regain his love. Sexy,
hilarious, and heartbreaking, Slow Burn follows Serafina, Ayzha, Jeremy, and Khalil as they pursue
love, make love, lose love, and learn what true love and friendship really mean.

Slow Burn takes you on a journey for the true meaning of love through the characters Serafina, Jeremy, Ayzha, and Khalil. Ms. Farashuu tells an old story about love but gives it a refreshing twist. Each character is well developed and the storyline is so wonderful that you believe every word. My book club loved this book!!!! Get ready to feel love, pain, lust, sorrow and spiritual while you give into the Slow Burn.
This had to be the best book that our book club has read so far. If you are looking for a fabulous book to read definitely pick up Slow Burn! Look for the sequel, Orchid's Nectar, Fall 2008.
