Book Club Meeting Requests

KC Girlfriends Book Club will occasionally invite authors to sit down with us during one of our book club
meetings, a sponsored literary event or booksigning. If you are coming to the Kansas City area and would
like us to be involved somehow with your visit, we would be more than happy to do what we can.

If you are specifically wanting to sit down with our book club members to discuss your book, our book
club meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 4 PM at various restaurants in the Kansas City
Metro. We cannot move our meeting dates to accommodate authors. Sorry. We usually have at least 3
books in place for the book club to read. We require at least 30+ days before a book club meeting in order
to purchase and read a book.

As a group, our book club read the following genres:
Fiction Books - Contemporary, Christian, Sci-Fi, Paranormal, Chick Lit, Fictional Memoirs, Romance and
some Memoirs.

We do not read the following:
erotica, self-help, poetry, short stories or street lit. Outside of the book club most of our book club
members do read other genres on their own.

We also will not purchase overpriced books or books that are not easily accessible either through an online
book store or the author's website.
