Radio Show Appearances, Book Submissions and Hosted Book Club Meetings
Our new submission schedule will go into affect immediately:
Book Reviews
Submission months: January, February, March and July, August, September.
We do not accept: Short stories, poetry or non-fiction books. Please do not submit these particular genres. Books are read whenever we have time available. Please be patient. If we have not posted your review within 3-4 months, we probably will not get to your review. Please email us before you mail off your books to see where we're at with posting reviews.
Radio Show Appearances
The KC Girlfriends Book Club Radio Show is on hiatus until June 2011. The host, TaNisha Webb, is currently looking at previous submissions and will contact authors that have submitted information regarding radio show appearances requests. Thanks so much for your submissions.
Hosted Book Club Meetings
The KC Girlfriends Book Club is always looking to support authors, especially new and underexposed AA authors. The genres that we prefer to read as a group are: Contemporary fiction, Christian, romance, suspense, chick lit, and some memoirs & paranormal.
Helpful tips:
We will not choose books that are overpriced. Please do not submit paperback books that cost $20 or close to that price. We do not accept eBooks at this time. (This goes for radio show appearances as well.)
Books should be in stock and available on major online book store websites. Most of our members prefer to purchase their BOTM selections at one time so this is helpful for us. However, if the author provides some type of book club discount, please let us know that information when you submit your book suggestion.
